Who can volunteer?
Whitby Heritage Skills Centre CIC is being built with the support of volunteers who care about skills, community and practical learning.
We welcome people from a wide range of backgrounds who want to support others and help preserve valuable skills
What matters most
You do not need formal teaching qualifications.
What matters most is patience, enthusiasm and a willingness to support others in a welcoming, hands-on environment rooted in Whitby.

Ways you can help
Volunteers may support WHSC by helping with workshops, sharing skills, mentoring learners, supporting events, or assisting with practical set-up and organisation
Roles are flexible and shaped around your interests and availability.
Support & Safeguarding
WHSC is committed to providing a safe and supportive environment for everyone involved.
Appropriate guidance and safeguarding procedures will be followed, and relevant checks may be required depending on the role.
